At HeroDevs, while we focus on sustainability of legacy open source software, we are still strong supporters of innovation and the advancement of modern technologies. That’s why we’re proud to announce that this year, we’ve contributed $144,000 to help sustain and grow the OpenJS Foundation and other vital open-source projects.

We’re joining the Open Source Pledge because it’s critical to support Open Source maintainers - not just to our business, but to the entire global economy.

Our Commitment to Open Source

HeroDevs has sponsored $144,000 worth of open source projects in 2024, which is $2,880 per developer. We believe it's essential to give back to the community that powers so much of our work. Although our focus is legacy software support and creating compatible & secure open source software, we recognize the integral role that communities and projects play—and it’s only right that we invest in their future.

Supporting the OpenJS Foundation

Our contributions to the OpenJS Foundation go directly toward sustaining critical projects like jQuery, Node.js, Express, and more. These tools enable businesses around the world to keep their software secure, compliant, and stable. By contributing to their ongoing development, we’re helping ensure a secure and sustainable future for open-source technology.
