Contract Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Contract Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts at HeroDevs. This person will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, and mitigating contractual risks for all commercial contracts. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations and Engineering to drive efficient contract processes and provide strategic guidance with respect to revenue and non-revenue based contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including services, consulting, marketing, licensing, non-disclosure, data privacy, and other commercial and technology-related agreements.
• Conduct risk analysis of contractual terms and recommend mitigating strategies.
• Assist in the development and improvement of standardized contract templates, processes, and playbooks.
• Collaborate with Sales team members and leadership to provide guidance on contract terms and negotiation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements in contractual agreements.
• Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and legal counsel on complex transactions and escalations.
• Support internal training initiatives by contributing to educational materials for stakeholders involved in the contracting process.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in a software technology company or a similar industry.
• BA/BS degree required; JD, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of technology-related agreements and data privacy requirements.
• Excellent contract risk assessment skills with the ability to provide strategic recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and provide practical business-oriented solutions.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Superior communication and analytical skills, with experience in project management preferred.
• Experience with open-source software and subscription based offerings is a plus.
